Gerald Riggs

Gerald Riggs grew up in Lass Vegas NV, where he attended Bonanza High School. Gerald received a scholarship to attend Arizona State University in 1978. After a stellar career in college, Gerald was the Atlanta Falcons Number one pick in the 1982 draft.(Gerald was also inducted into the Arizona State Hall of Fame in 2000) Gerald became the number 1 running back for the Atlanta Falcons in 1983. He was selected to three Pro Bowls in 1985,86 and 87. during Gerald's career as an Atlanta Falcon, he put up some impressive numbers in rushing to make him Atlanta Falcons all time leading rusher, a record he currently holds today. Gerald was traded to the Washington Redskins in 1989 and was a big part of Joe Gibbs "One Back System's. this included over the years all pro running backs John Riggins and George Rodgers. Gerald was a part of the 1991 Superbowl Championship team with the Redskins Scoring two touchdowns in that game.

Gerald retired in 1992 and is a man of many missions. He is a motivational speaker for businesses and young teens. Gerald is also involved with Football camps across the nation and he is a color analyst and Sports Broadcaster in the Atlanta area. Gerald now resides in Douglasville GA with his wife Aleta. they have three children Gerald Jr., Cody and daughter Tai.
